From the above you can see what our plan is for our film opening, this showing some of the shots we will be using and also some roughly drawn images of what we are planning it to look like. We haven't yet made a final decision on what we are going to call our film opening but we like "The Seekers". From doing some film research and watching some of their opening titles we were very interested in the film "When A Stranger Calls" this film has a lot in common with what we wanted to do.
However from previous research we also found out typical horror film conventions such as who the victims and villains usually are. With ours we are planning on the victims to be:
1 - A teenager who is babysitting (girl).
2 - A small child (girl).
By using girls as the victims we can make them more vulnerable and innocent, as from our research we were able to see that people usually associate victims with young vulnerable girls. However our villains are:
1 - Orjan (male).
2 - Joel (male).
3 - Nicci (female).
By having both male and female villains I believe it will create more suspense and shock as people usually relate males to be the more dominant and scary people.
